General English
If you plan to live, work or study in an English-speaking country, you need the confidence to communicate in everyday situations. The General English course can be combined with travel, work and other study, and will help you improve your spoken English as well as writing, reading and grammar.

What you will learn
You'll develop the skills to use English in everyday situations, such as:
- Ordering meals in cafes and restaurants
- Asking for directions
- Shopping
- Applying for work
Course assessment
Formal assessments are carried out every five weeks at the end of each term. Test results and teacher recommendations determine whether you will be promoted to the next level. These assessments are based on;
- Listening, reading, writing and speaking skill assessment
- Class participation.
No minimum entry requirement
Classes are graded according to English language ability. To ensure that you are placed in the correct class you will be tested and interviewed on your first day.
