This major focuses on the crucial role of modern, connected and versatile managers and can prepare you for a management career in local and international settings. It draws your attention to the diverse nature and challenges facing practising managers today, such as:

It is designed give you a strong foundation in the management skills you may need in areas such as:
- communicating with people
- problem solving
- managing change
- managing a budget.
Marketing has one of the most important functions in a successful business. To gain an advantage, companies must differentiate themselves from their competitors. They work out how they may persuade their target audience to buy their product or services. Marketing suits those who wonder what makes people think and behave the way the do, enjoy working with other people and in teams, have strong organisational skills and want a career that is interesting and diverse. Roles may be in fundraising, market research, product management, marketing communications and brand strategy, and online marketing in areas such as developing online strategy, search engine optimisation, and social media and networking.
This major provides you with an understanding of the role marketing plays in creating customer value.
You will have the chance to explore the diverse field of marketing, including:
- international and internet marketing
- retail and services marketing
- product, pricing and promotion strategies
- consumer behaviour.
You will learn to analyse the behaviour of competitors and customers to discover how marketing can predict customer demand for products, services or ideas.
This course can help you become a/an Management Consultant, Executive Assistant, Retail Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Marketing Officer, Events Coordinator, Market Research Analyst, Product Manager, Marketing Communications Manager.
