Enhance your skills
This course is only available to Singaporean and Permanent Resident applicants, or foreigners holding a relevant working visa.
This course is designed to build on the professional knowledge and experience you have developed as a registered nurse from a hospital-based course, taking the study of the biological and behavioural sciences underlying nursing to greater depth. This course places emphasis on the maintenance and further development of your professional competencies and on enhancing your capabilities as a member of an inter-professional team in a changing health care system.
You will have the opportunity to study core concepts of nursing which are concerned with the well-being of the individual, family and community and which can be applied to any nursing situation. Utilisation of the problem solving approach will be stressed, with particular focus on the identification and assessment of health problems and nursing needs of individuals and their families. You will explore nursing research, ethics, professional practice, management, science and behavioural science.
