Learn how companies, government and households work, with a focus on financial markets and institutions. In Banking, you’ll study the developments of the financial sector and learn about the field of economics. You’ll develop a working knowledge of the Australian banking and financial system with a broad perspective of the environment of business.

In Finance, you’ll gain an understanding of the structure and operations of financial markets in management. You’ll learn about investment evaluation, decide how to fund activities, and understand the roles played by financial markets and instruments.

Banking and Finance Double Major (BCom) has been accepted into the CFA institute University Recognition Program. The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) credential is the most respected and recognized investment designation in the world and the CFA Program is the first step toward earning this qualification. Recognised status is granted to institutions whose degree program(s) incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK). This provides students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for the exams which are part of the CFA program.
