Student’s Pass formalities

Employment information for Student's Pass holders

Part-time work for international students

You are not allowed to engage in any paid employment or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore during the validity of your Student’s Pass.

Working after graduation

International students looking to work in Singapore full-time after they graduate should visit the Ministry of Manpower website for information on the various passes that are on offer.

In Principle Approval letter

You will receive In Principle Approval letter (IPA) from the University once your Student’s Pass is approved by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA). Please note you must hold a valid Student’s Pass to study at Curtin Singapore.

Collecting your Student’s Pass


If you are required to complete formalities at ICA Building, please make an e-appointment.

When booking your e-appointment:

  1. Key in your Fin number (refer to your IPA letter)
  2. Key in your e-appointment ID (refer to your IPA letter)
  3. Select your preferred date and time

On the day of your appointment:

  1. Proceed to the Self Service Ticketing KIOSK 3 located at visitor Services Centre on the fourth storey of the ICA building
  2. Scan in your IPA letter
  3. Get a queue ticket
  4. Wait for your number to be called


To prevent a long wait at the ICA building, you can pay the student pass issuance fee and multiple entry visas online via credit card payment. Log into the ICA website and follow the steps below:

  1. Click on PAYMENT
  2. Type in the solar plus number
  3. Click on PROCEED
  4. Click on NETS [credit / debit card]
  5. Type in the credit card details
  6. Click SUBMIT
